Trip to Montana al la Poopooh!!

We decided it was time to stretch our legs and do some traveling, so up to Montana we went to see the Cassidy Family for the Fourth of July. Knowing that Simeon isn't the biggest fan of his car seat, we knew this might be a bit of a headache, but we needed to get out of our apartment just as much, so we decided to chance it!

Simeon wanted his favorite toy, so we decided to jimi-rig the mobile and hang it from the ceiling of the car. First thing when we were leaving Denver, Simeon started to cry. So on went the mobile, and the big dinosaur tears came to a halt! Dad's direct quote was, "Mama, your are a genius!"

May 3rd also marked a momentous day as it was Simeon's 2 month birthday, first long trip (for a vacation that is), and day 6 of no poopooh! Which means...of course we would have to go on Mama's lap!

We were traveling down the road, and Mama had just got done feeding the little guy, and Jeremy and I were just chattering away. All of a sudden, I thought Jeremy had a case of the barking spiders and so I asked him to crack the window. He rebutted and swore it wasn't him, and I knew it wasn't me. Of course, Simeon had loaded his diaper and was testing Mama's ability to stay quick on her feet! I didn't think it could be too bad yet, so I decided to open his diaper, and he was already in the process of filling that diaper to the maximum! Mama started yelling at Papa to pull over asap, as it was getting close to spilling on to Mama's pants. We aren't litter bugs, but that was the one time when we weren't going to be environmentally friendly, as we left the diaper on the side of the road.

Well, were almost there, about 15 minutes out, and Simeon is just getting antsy to get there. Mama decides to take him out for quick diaper check, and low and behold, Simeon stands up on legs, and lets one rip, and wahmoooooooooooooo, poopooh number two! Dad has the nerve to ask can it wait till we get to the cabin? (He of course doesn't feel the emergency, as I am holding him, and it's about to drip down his leg.) Would you wait to get to the cabin, if you waited 6 days to go poopooh? I don't think so! Of course, we go on a road trip and Simeon goes poopooh, not just once but twice!
