Peeing....I mean pooping saga continued!

Do stories about pooping and peeing with infants ever really get old? I sure don't think so. So here we go...pooping sage continued. We had a rough day with spitting up with little Simeon on Monday, so we decided to have an early bath, and see if we could get him to go down a little earlier to catch up on some sleep. Mama got the perfect bath ready, and Papa stripped the little man down to his birthday suit.

Just as Mama was getting ready to scrub down our little man, Papa started pouring water on Simeon. (Which I thought the purpose was to get him whetted down, and warm him up.) Nope! Papa intentionally was pouring water over his little man parts, to see if he could spray Mama with pee! Mama turned around just as the arch began to spray, right on Mama's shirt, all the way down to her bare foot! Papa just laughed and didn't even do the courtesy of offering Mama a towel. Simeon looked at me with his big blue eyes, and let out a little squeal, and then smiled and laughed. How could I even think of being mad?

Pooping Saga, Part III

My Mother has informed me that it is common for breastfed babies to not poop for several days. The first first time I was calling her every other day making sure that it was okay, as little Simeon stored it up for SEVEN DAYS!! This time it was only FIVE DAYS, but man you would have thought it was two weeks. Mama was playing with Simeon when all of a sudden, Wahmooooooooo, poopooh time! Mama wasn't sure it was the real thing so she decided to check and sure enough it was almost coming out the sides. Mama at this point looked at Papa and said, "your turn daddy." :)

Papa made the rookie mistake of not putting on another diaper underneath after changing the HUGE diaper, and the ooze just continued to flow! Right onto the outside of the next diaper (as pictured to the right). He must of used so much energy to push out the HUGE poopooh, that he went right to sleep...only to be awoken by his next bath!

Happy First Father's Day Papa!

Happy Father's Day Papa Cass!

We got the chance to spend a lovely first Father's Day with our friends the DiNuzzo's in Colorado Springs this past Sunday. They took us up to Helen Hunt Falls in the Mountains which Jeremy absolutely loved! We got to share some delicious BBQ together along with creamy custard which topped off our trip! All in all, it was a wonderful day, and a new experience for our little family.

his many girlfriends Lilly (a friend that is a girl.)

Welcome to the Christian Family Simeon!

One the awesome things that you get to experience in being a parent is seeing the greatest gift God has given us, come into His family plan. On May 27th, we got to witness Simeon Christian Cassidy come into the fullness of the Christian Family. One of the lines in Father Brendan's homily that stood out to us was "this is one of the greatest gift you can ever give your child." Simeon was baptized within a personal mass, in which we all stood around the baptismal font. He was so good as he slept through most of his baptism, and he didn't even wake up when Father poured the water over his head! Thank you to all who prayed for him during this special time. Below you can see some of the pictures of his special moment!

Look at Me!! I am enthused!!!

We are in Denver!

Hello all!

We know it's been a bit, and you all are anxious to see how our little Simeon has changed in the last three weeks! We have been a bit crazy (or more like I have been crazy, and Jeremy has just been taking it all in like a champ), but we are now successfully moved in, and Simeon is getting a little bit more on a schedule. Denver is absolutely gorgeous as it's almost always sunny, even if it's not very warm. It's good to be closer to the mountains, and especially as the Midwest has been getting hit with some crazy weather!

We lover our little apartment, and it's nice to have twice the space that we once had. Frankly, I don't know how we had so much stuff crammed in one little space. Jeremy and I have been trying to get used the area, find a church, and just breathe a little after feeling as though we ran through the month of May. We are enjoying our little man more each day, and trying to get in some R &R.

Some of the highlights of since we have last posted are:
  • Grandma Normie came to visit! She was a saint in helping us move, (the master packer) and played lots with our little man. Simeon got to have a lesson each day on how weird Grandpa Rossi is. :)
  • Simeon was baptized at a very intimate Mass on May 27th by Father Brendan, OSB. He is one of our favorite priests, and made it very special for us. I will post some pictures of the baptism soon!
  • We loaded up the truck and left Atchison the 30th of May! Simeon did pretty well, but he did end up in the moving truck with Dad, and Mom squished on the floor. (you do what you got to do right?)
  • We crossed into Colorado on May 31st! How great it is to see the Rockies!
  • We unpacked in a frenzy for 4 days as we prepared for family to come to Denver!
  • Grandpa and Grandma Cassidy came to visit us, and spoiled us rotten! The best part is that Simeon got a mobile, and it is probably his favorite thing in the world, next to eating (which you will soon see).
Our new address is:
(we just found out from the post office, that this is how our address is suppose to look!)
721 W. 123rd Ave.
Apt. 1108
Westminster, CO 80234
Hope to hear from you soon!

The pictures in the slide show are some of the fun times that we have had in the past three weeks.
