The Moment You All Have Been Waiting For......

Nope, no baby yet, it still has to cook for a few months!!!!!

Nope, no pictures of Diana's growing belly, Lucky for you Rene!!!

But we do have the results and pics from the ultrasound. We are in Atchison, so they are the good old 2D pictures, no 4D's. But you can see that there is a great side-profile and some cute feet. Please join in our joy and excitement that we have for this new life. Please continue to pray for us and the health of the baby.

This is the side-profile of Little Baby Cassidy as well as the feet!!!

Icicles in the Dark!!!

Break out the candles and fireplaces!! Because after the Ice Storm of 2007 we are still without power. It is Friday Dec. 14th. We lost power around 3:00 a.m. on Dec. 11th in the middle of the ice storm. This occurred when a tree limb fell on our supply line to our house ripping the ground, and line boom from the box. At least 50% of all the limbs on the trees in our yard are now on the ground. We experienced about 3/4-1 inch of ice build up. This ice build up wreaked havoc on most large trees and power poles. We are on about about 1700 homes in Atchison alone without power. With the assistance of FEMA, people are receiving power by the hour, but we are still without this afternoon. We are shooting for Monday, but the energy company told us it could be as long as Dec. 22nd before power is restored.

But don't worry, Mama, baby and I are staying at the FOCUS Green Door Apartment at night and our great friends the Arps (complete with fat cat, Simba) take us in during the day and for meals. It was pretty frustrating at first but now we know there is nothing we can do for now. Just pray and wait for the power companies to get caught up. I have included some pictures of the destruction below

The Glory of Building a Family

Hello Friends and Family,

Sorry for the delay on posting an update. But between work and baby we have had our hands full. First of all Diana is doing extremely well. Working through some expected morning sickness and the toughness of brushing a pregnant womans teeth. But the baby is about 4 1/2 inches long and beginning to have signs of showing on Mama. We will have some belly pictures soon.

As for work and mission. My job is going great. I had my first reward night with the Gentlemen's Club this last Friday night. Such a good time of some NCAA Football on the PS2 and lots of basketball and pizza. It was very successful and should set us up for some more great activities. Please pray for the boys and their changing ways.
Diana is working so hard on preparing for FOCUS National Conference 2008. She traveled to Grapevine, TX (just outside of Dallas) to survey the site for the conference and came back beyond excited, in her words the facility is "phenomenal." And Benedictine College has about 175 students signed up to go and FOCUS Nationally is expecting around 4000 students.

And finally we would all ask for your prayers on our future place of residence. About 2 weeks ago we traveled to Denver, CO. We are interested in moving there next year for Diana to work at FOCUS Headquarters if a job presents itself. And I am interested in furthering my education by persuing a masters degree at the Augustine Institute. I would also look at teaching in the Archdiocese of Denver. Please pray for God's will in our decision.

Baby Lime & Life Gets Crazier

Hello Friends and Family,

This is going to be a short one. But I just wanted you to know that Baby and Mama are doing well. Diana is dealing very heroically with motherhood so far and I am trying to make her life more comfortable both now and in the future. Therefore I am working extra jobs at the school running detention and working after school events.

Diana is also hard at work looking for more support for FOCUS, and preparing for the fantastic NATIONAL FOCUS CONFERENCE 2008 in Dallas, TX. Keep logged in for more great information.

God Bless

Baby Grape!!

Yes Friends and Family,

Our little one is about the size a grape this week. Diana and I are enjoying going the BabyCenter website every week to track the grow of our new life. We are so blessed and excited still.

Diana is hanging in there like a trooper. She has been blessed with a relatively normal pregnancy thus far. Just some fatigue and slight upset stomachs, but other than that she has been able to go about life just normal.

Daddy is just working on parenting by trying not to kill his 115 8th Graders at Atchison Middle School. May new class of Braves are doing just fine. They just finished their first major test, and lets just say that some of them now know how serious I am about taking notes :)!!!!

We are just trying to balance both jobs and looking forward to having some visitors over the next few weekends and enjoying each others company till the baby comes.

P.S. I am still waiting for Meza and Mulcahy to return a phone call before the baby is born. But don't worry fellas, you have at least 6 months.

P.S.S Know we are praying for all of you and miss you all very much.

Baby Update!!

The baby is a raspberry! At least that is what our source is telling us. It is such an amazing feeling to be spending time with my wife and our new little life. We are getting so excited, but we still have 7 months and 1 week, that could be a little while ;). So we just wanted to reffer you all to our source, it is great little website for information about the growth of a life in the uterus of a woman. You can find the link at the bottom of the page. Please enjoy and join in our joy and tracking skills. We love all of you and God Bless!!!!

P.S. Site is just a secular site, not exactly the most Christian contents all the time.

P.S.S. DiNuzzo's, Lilly Grace looks amazing thanks for getting us even more excited.

IT'S OFFICIAL!! HERE COMES THE BABY!!!!

Diana and I are blessed to announce that we are officially prego, for about 6 weeks now. After our first doctors appointment yesterday, always an experience for the father :), everything seems to be going well and the due date is set for APRIL 23RD. This is such a beautiful gift from God for us and we are so excited and looking forward for the next stop on this journey of Christian Marriage and Family. We thank all our friends and family for their excitement and support and ask for all your prayers over the next 9 months. We are just amazed at the joy and acceptance we both have for God's will through the help of NFP and true openness to life. I will be keeping the blog packed with pictures and updates.

Finally a Honeymoon!!!

When we got married last fall, we were forced to honeymoon in the beautiful Kansas hills of Atchison. This was because with my newly aquried job, I had to start working 2 days after we were wed. Therefore the spring, with some blessings from God we were able to join each other for a phenomenal week on the tropical island of Puerto Rico. We got to bath in the sun, each delectable food, and savor the rum for the relaxation wedding bliss of all time. As you can see from the picture, Puerto Rico is so much better than Kansas!!! No offense to those Kansasians out there.

The First Big Push

For the second year in a row, Diana and I are off the to the races again. With Diana evangelizing the great women of Benedictine College, and me inspiring the young minds of Atchison Public Schools, we find ourselves joyfully running all over the place. This fall has brought great challenges in learning how to balance two different jobs and schedules, while finding some great married quality time. As well as preparing us for the future of a family, yes, a family.
